charleston's only evening race
The iFive:K is a favorite of knowledge-based business professionals, running enthusiasts and visitors. Since its 2007 debut with 250 runners/walkers/shufflers and 20 company-sponsored teams, the iFive:K has grown to 750 registrants and 48 teams in 2011. The 2012 race is capped at 750 participants.
The iFive:K is the only weekday, evening race winding through the historic streets of downtown Charleston, South Carolina. The iFive:K is presented by the Charleston Digital Corridor Foundation - the community's creative effort to attract, nurture and promote Charleston’s knowledge economy.
With its commitment to facilitating a business, physical and social environment where technology companies thrive, the Digital Corridor recognized the need for an "active," networking event and created the Innovator's 5K Run/Walk/Shuffle in the spring of 2007.
Prizes are presented to the top three Male and Female runners. Awards are also given to the top three Male and Female runners in each age category. Age categories include: 1-10; 11-19; 20-29; 30-39; 40-49; 50-59; and 60+.

The iFive:K also has a team component! Compete in teams of two, six or ten to have your team named on the iFive:K "Bragging Rights Trophy." Participants registered as a team are also entered into the competition as individuals.
PeopleMatter SPIRIT Award Does your team have the most spirit? You don’t have to be the fastest team to enjoy the PeopleMatter SPIRIT Award, but you do have to have the most spirit! How do we define SPIRIT? Easy:
- Social (media) Interaction - 20 Points
- Participation - 5 Points for each runner participating in the iFive:K
- Inspire Involvement - 10 Points
- Respect (sportsmanship) - 20 Points
- Initiate (team cheers) - 20 Points
- Team Bling (shirts/costumes) - 30 Points
iFive:K teams of 2, 6 and 10 are invited to participate. PeopleMatter will present the winning team with an award and a $250 gift certificate to Taco Boy at the BoomTown after party.
